When a young artist becomes associated with a personal manager, his or her talent may be somewhat raw and undeveloped. For some types of music a lack of polish may be desirable. However, for most artists on their way to the top the personal manager will insist that the artist have some contact with a professional entertainment expert who can develop that artist's act. This type of attention creates a product that can be merchandised more effectively.

Performing live also allows other booking agents to get a feel for the artists' style and capabilities, which lead to other booked performances for our artists.
